The old church of Inverurie, which can still be seen as a ruin in the old churchyard, was dedicated to St Apollinaris and belonged to the Abbey of Lindores. A new church was built at Inverurie in 1707, and there is ministry of St Andrew's Kirk Session recorded from 1890 in the person of James Black. The kirk was within the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Garioch until the late 20th century, it currently falls under the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Gordon. |
