The congregation was formed by the uniting of Dundee St David's North Church of Scotland and Dundee High Kirk Church of Scotland in 2003. The united charge taking the name Dundee: St David's High Kirk. Worship was conducted in the High Kirk building and the St David's North Church building was demolished. Due to dwindling numbers, however, St David's High Kirk was dissolved on 31st December 2023.
