In 1580 a third charge was founded for the parish of Aberdeen, St Nicholas. It wasn't until 1826 that a church was built specifically for this third charge, which took the name the North Church, Aberdeen. Two years later in 1828 the Court of Teinds disjoined the North Parish from that of St Nicholas. In 1929 the congregation united with Aberdeen Trinity as Aberdeen, North and Trinity Church of Scotland. A further union took place with East of St Nicholas on 1 September 1954; the united charge taking the name Aberdeen, St Nicholas North and East Church of Scotland. |
