Having disjoined from Inveraray and Glassary, the congregation at Cumlodden was erected as a Quoad Sacra parish in 1853. In 1929 a union took place with Lochfyneside; taking the name of Cumlodden and Lochfyneside Church of Scotland. A preaching station at Lochgair transferred from Glassary to Cumlodden in 1983 and the congregation was thereafter known as Cunlodden Lochfyneside and Lochgair. A further union took place on 27 October 2019 with Glenaray and Inveraray to form the united charge of West Lochfyneside: Cumlodden Inveraray and Lochgair. |
