A church was built in Hogganfield in 1875. The parish was disjoined from Springburn, the Barony, Shettleston, Cadder and Chryston on 12 January 1885. In 1924 the congregation joined with that of Glasgow, St Enoch's and a new Parish was erected by the Court of Teinds as St Enoch's-Hogganfield, which became the Parish Church. The last service was held in St Enoch's on 1 February 1925, and on the 8th February 1925 the first joint service was held. A new church was opened to accommodate the joint Session in 1930, the old Hogganfield building became Millerston Extension Charge, and the old St Enoch's Church was demolished. |
