The congregation of Kirk O'Field, Edinburgh, was formed in 1969 by the union of Buccleuch, Charteris-Pleasance and Nicolson Street churches. In 1984 the congregation was united with St Paul's' Newington, and the united charge kept the name Kirk O'Field. A further union with Greyfriars Tolbooth and Highland Kirk took place on 6 October 2013, the united charge taking the name of Edinburgh: Greyfriars Kirk.
