St Stephen's chapel was opened on 26 November 1871 and the parish was disjoined from Broughty Ferry and Monifieth on 19 July 1875. Alterations were made to the building in 1874, 1877 and 1880. The church hall was built in 1894, destroyed by fire in 1943 and restored in 1951. In 1962 Broughty Ferry St Stephen's and Broughty Ferry West united to form Broughty Ferry St Stephen's and West. The united charge continued to worship in the St Stephen's church which is an A-Listed building. The West buildings were sold. |
