The Kirk Session of Fossoway was united in 1614 with the parish of Tullibole. Fossoway originated within the county of Perthshire but was transferred to the Presbytery of Kinross in 1891. The old church, which still stands in ruins, was granted the patronage of Cupar Abbey in 1309, but the current building was not erected until much later in 1806. Ministry at Fossoway is recorded from 1567 in the person of Adam Marshall. Fossaway now sits within the Presbytery of Perth and under the name of Fossoway St Serf's and Devonside, as a result of the union with Fossoway St Serf's and Fossoway Devenside on 26th January 1964. Fossoway St Serf's and Devonside later linked with Cleish in 1980. |
