Quothquan Parish was joined to Libberton in 1660. The new church was built on an ancient site of worship at Libberton in 1812, and restored in 1902. It was in the former presbytery of Biggar. The charge was linked with Culter in 1972, and a further link was established in 1978 with the congregation of Symington. Further linking took place in 1999 with the Blackmount congregation, at which time the charge sat within the Presbytery of Lanark. |
