The presbyteries of Dingwall and Chanonry united in 1929 to become the Presbytery of Chanonry and Dingwall. For almost 2 years, from February 1976, after Lochcarron congregation transferred to the Presbytery, it was known as Presbytery of Chanonry, Dingwall and Lochcarron. On 1 September 1978 Lochcarron transferred to Skye Presbytery and the name reverted to Presbytery of Chanonry and Dingwall. In 1981 Tain Presbytery united with it and became known as Presbytery of Ross. |
