The church of Moonzie or Auchtermoonsie was dedicated by Bishop David de Bernham to the Holy Trinity on 5 April 1245. It belonged to the ministry of the Red Friars at Scotlandwell. From 1564-1625 the parishes of Cupar-Fife and Auchtermoonsie were united. Ministry is recorded until 1929, after which the charge was served by a lay missionary under the supervision of Creich until 1939 when a modified ministry was granted. Moonzie was linked with Creich from April 1947 but the congregation was dissolved on 5 December 1971 rather than be linked with Creich, Flisk and Kilmany. The Kirk Session sat within the Presbytery of Cupar. |
