Admin history

The church at Kirkmaiden (also referred to as Kirkmaiden-in-Rhinns in early times) belonged to the Abbey of Saulseat. It was dedicated to St Medan., and a reader was in place from 1574. In 1931 the congregation united with Kirkmaiden St Medan's (former United Free congregation), the united charge taking the name of Kirkmaiden Church of Scotland.
