The Church of Fintray, which sits in the Presbytery of Aberdeen, belonged to the Abbey of Lindores. Ministry of the church, which was dedicated to St Medan, is recorded from 1567 in the person of Alexander Howie. The Kirk Session of Fintray was linked with Keithhall in 1976 and later in 1993 Fintray and Kinellar Kirk Session was formed by a union of the two parishes. Links with Keithhall remained after 1993. |
