Mission work began by the established church began in Queen's Park in 1868, leading to the construction of a new church in Queen?s Drive in 1873. The parish was disjoined from Cathcart and Govan two years later. In 1929 the charge became known as Queen's Park High Church of Scotland to differentiate it from the former United Free charges of Queen's Park West and Queen's Park St George's. It united with Crosshill Victoria in 1972 as Crosshill Queen?s Park. It was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
