The 'Hut Hall' a prefabricated structure at the corner of Fintry Road and Fintry Drive, was opened by the Presbytery of Dundee on 1 June 1952 and the first minister ordained on 25 February 1953. In 1959 the congregation was granted full status. A church building was opened on 4 September 1955 to house the congregation. In 1968 the building was reconstructed and a new hall opened. The church tower was demolished in 1996 and some alterations completed in 1999 following which the church was rededicated on 21 November 1999.
Mains of Fintry church is in the Presbytery of Dundee, which was in the synod of Angus and Mearns until the abolition of synods in 1992. |
