Foresthall Church, Glasgow, was the chapel for the large poorhouse of Barony (later Glasgow) parish, in Edgefauld Road, Springburn, opened in 1853 as Barnhill Poorhouse, renamed Foresthall in 1944. After the abolition of the old poor law Foresthall became principally a geriatric institution until demolished in stages during the 1980s. It was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
