There existed in the district of Glasgow St Vincent's a Reformed Presbyterian Church, the minister and congregation of which requested admittance to the Church of Scotland, and were accordingly received in 1876. A new church was built for the congregation in 1877 and in 1879 the Parish of Glasgow St Vincent's was disjoined from the Barony Parish and erected quoad sacra. In 1934, following the 1929 union of the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church, Glasgow St Vincent's united with the former United Free Church congregation of Kent Road, under the name of Kent Road St Vincent's. The congregation of Glasgow, Kent Road St Vincent's was dissolved in 1977. |
