West Coates began in the action of St Cuthbert's Kirk Session, the first service in West Coates took place on 9th January 1870. In the following year the parish was separated form St Cuthbert's and became Quoad Sacra. The congregation went on to join Roseburn in 1962 to form Wester Coates. Wester Coates was dissolved in 1973. |
