Townhead Church, Glasgow, began in 1866, with the appointment of a minister, the disjunction of the quoad sacra parish and the erection of a church (on the south side of Roystonhill, now just above the M8). The parish terminated in 1973 on uniting with Blochairn as Townhead Blochairn, which continues to use the Townhead building. The church was occasionally referred to as St Rollox. It was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
