The kirk session of Aberdeen St George's in the West was established in 1880 when the parish of St George's was disjoined from that of St Nicholas and erected quoad sacra. The church of the parish, which generally became styled St George's in the West, was later united with the charge of Tillydrone-Hayton in 1969, under the name of St George's Tillydrone and under the ministry of Rev N.L. Faulds, minister at Tillydrone-Hayton. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Aberdeen. |
