The parish of Croick was established in 1846, when it was disjoined from that of Kincardine and erected quoad sacra, a parliamentary church, which had been erected here a number of years prior in 1827, came to serve as the parish church. In 1947 Croick established a union with the charge of Kincardine, under the name of Kincardine and Croick, and further union followed in 1976 with Edderton, to form the session of Kincardine, Croick and Edderton. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Tain, until the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976, when it became part of the Presbytery of Sutherland. |
