The church of Monymusk, which held a dedication to St Mary, belonged of old to the Priory of Monymusk, the site of which was occupied by a Celtic Abbey prior to the year 1179. In 1963 Monymusk established a link with the charge of Blairdaff, however this arrangement was later terminated in 1982 in favour of a linkage with Cluny. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Garioch until the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976, when it became part of the Presbytery of Gordon. |
