During the year 1886 the parish of Dinnet was disjoined from that of Aboyne, Logie-Coldstone and Glenmuick and erected quoad sacra. In 1954 Dinnet established a link with the charge of Logie-Coldstone and Migvie however this arrangement was terminated in 1984 in favour of a link with Aboyne, and a number of years later in 1993 the congregations of Dinnet and Aboyne united together to form the session of Aboyne-Dinnet. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Kincardine O'Neil and later of Deeside until 1962 when, by Act of Assembly, the Presbytery of Deeside and the Presbytery of Alford were united under the name of Presbytery of Deeside and Alford. Following the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976 it became part of the Presbytery of Kincardine and Deeside. |
