The parish of Knoxland was disjoined from that of Dumbarton, and erected as a separate parish, quoad sacra, on the 24th May 1886. In 1972 Dumbarton Knoxland was united with the session of Dumbarton Riverside, under the name of Dumbarton Riverside. The kirk session sits under the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Dumbarton. |
