In 1890 a church was opened within the Craiglockhart district of Edinburgh, which in 1891 became a chapel of ease. The parish of Edinburgh Craiglockhart was later disjoined from that of St Cuthbert's and of Colinton in 1897, and erected quoad sacra, and the former chapel of ease, which had been built in the 15th century style of Scottish architecture, became the parish church and was dedicated in June 1899. The kirk session of Edinburgh Craiglockhart sits within the Presbytery of Edinburgh. |
