The parish of Kilry was disjoined in 1879 from the parishes of Glenisla, Lintrathen, and Alyth and erected quoad sacra. The parish church had been built a number of years prior to the erection of the parish. In 1972 Kilry established a link with the congregation of Glenisla and a further link followed in 1994 with Airlie, Kingoldrum and Ruthven with Lintrathen. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Meigle until the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976, when it became part of the Presbytery of Angus. |
