The parish church of St Madoes, rebuilt in 1798, was dedicated to St Aedh and the kirk session, which sits within the Presbytery of Perth, records ministry from 1567 in the person of Richard Deffro. In 1939 the former United Free Church congregation of Glendoick and Pitroddie united with St Madoes, after which time the Glendoick church reverted to the superiors. A further link followed in 1982 with Kinfauns and the two sessions later united in 1989, under the name of St Madoes and Kinfauns. |
