The Kirk Session of Renfrew Trinity first began in 1862 as the congregation of Renfrew United Presbyterian Church, with worship initially having taken place in Renfrew Town Hall, prior to erection of a new church in 1865. In 1900 the charge became the United Free Church congregation of Renfrew Trinity and following the union of the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church in 1929, Renfrew Trinity Church of Scotland. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Paisley |
