The mission church of Carrick Castle, which was opened in 1892, sat within the parish of Lochgoilhead (Lochgoilhead and Kilmorich) and the Presbytery of Dunoon. The charge of Lochgoilhead: The Three Brethren, which included Carrick Castle, was united with Lochgoilhead Gibson in 1952.
