A chapel was first erected at Blairingone in 1838 and the parish was later disjoined from that of Fossoway in 1860 and erected as a parish quoad sacra. In 1958 Blairingone established a link with Saline under the ministry of Rev A.G. Downie, minister at Saline and a number of years later in 1993 the link was dissolved in favour of a union between the two sessions, under the name of Saline and Blairingone. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Kinross and later of Dunfermline and Kinross, until the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976, when it became part of the Presbytery of Dunfermline once more. |
