Kenmuir Mount Vernon Church, Glasgow, originated in 1883, with the appointment of a minister and the erection of a church in London Road at Mount Vernon. The parish was disjoined from Old Monkland in 1887 as Kenmuir quoad sacra (the name Kenmuir Mount Vernon dates only from 1932). It was originally in the presbytery of Hamilton until 1976, thereafter Glasgow, and in the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
