In 1873 a church was built in the district of Airdrie Flowerhill by the Reformed Presbyterians. The minister and the congregation of this church were admitted in the same year to the Church of Scotland, having petitioned the General Assembly, and the parish of Flowerhill was later disjoined from Airdrie in 1975, and erected as a quoad sacra parish. The Kirk Session of Airdrie Flowerhill has sat within the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Hamilton throughout its existence. |
