St Kiaran?s Dean Park Church, Glasgow, originated in the union in 1931 of the two established churches of St Kiaran?s and Dean Park. Dean Park Church began as a result of mission services by the established church in Govan. A new church was built in Copland Road near Govan Road in 1873 and the parish was disjoined from Govan and Maxwell as Dean Park quoad sacra parish three years later. The combined congregation worshipped in the former Dean Park church. It terminated in 1976 on uniting with St Columba Summertown as Govan Trinity. It was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Clydesdale. |
