A church was first built in the district of Clydebank St James's in 1875 and the parish was later disjoined from Old Kilpatrick and Renfrew on the 6th march 1876. In 1974 Clydebank St James's united with the session of Clydebank West under the name of Clydebank Abbotsford and under the ministry of Rev S.P.W. Borthwick, minister at Clydebank West. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Dumbarton. |
