Hints on searching for place authority records
For the moment this function works only for the catalogue entries for maps and plans (RHP), although it will be extended gradually to cover all the collections held in NAS. At the moment it will recognise the names of Scottish civil parishes and counties, English, Welsh and Irish counties, foreign countries and continents.
