This survey has been artificially split into 6 sections in the course of the NRS catalogue conversion project.
Section 1. Papers of Earl of Strathmore, Glamis Castle, 1188-1963:Titles, Angus, Perthshire, Fife, Aberdeenshire and Edinburgh, 12th-18th century; estate and legal papers, 17th-20th century; personal, estate and household accounts, 1675-1781; correspondence, mostly estate and personal, 16th-20th cent; papers on the administration of the Earl of Middleton's estates, 1666-73; papers concerning Glamis church and manse, 1717; military papers, 1648-89 including muster roll, orders and accounts; papers concerning the election of representative peers, 1722; papers relating to Scottish county, burgh and parish affairs, 17th-20th centuries; papers relating to English estates in Co Durham, Yorks, Hertfordshire,Sussex, London and Ridley in Northumberland, mainly 18th-20th cent
