Description

(Apparently erroneously). Includes:-
1559, July 20. Letters of Regress of half of lands and mill of Arrot wadset by Thomas Arrat, fiar thereof, with consent of his father George Arrat, to Sir Robert Carnegy of Kynnaird. Chipped seal of Francis and Mary, King and Queen of Scotland, Dauphin and Dauphiness of Vienne.
1587, July 15. Letters of Gift under the Signet to Sir John Carnegie of Kynnaird of the non-entries etc of half of Arrot etc since the death of Sir Robert Carnegy.
1587, November 9. Sasine in favour of Sir John Carnegy of Kynnaird in half lands of Arrat etc on royal precept, 4 November 1587 following on retour as heir to Sir Robert Carnegy his father.
1591, October 28, Montrose. Contract of Alienation between John Erskyne of Dune and Margaret Keith, his wife, and Alexander [should read Andrew] Arbuthnot of that ilk, and James Arbuthnot his second son, whereby they were to infeft James Arbuthnot, whom failing Patrick Arbuthnot, his younger brother, etc in the sunny half of Arrat etc.
