No 168 1514, May 31. Sasine in favour of George Arrot, son and heir of Andrew Arrot of that Ilk, in half of lands of Arrot with the mill thereof and lands of Lychtounhill in lordship of Brechin and sheriffdom of Forfar on precept of Sir Henry Lovet of Ballidly and William Ouchterlony of Kelle, sheriff of Forfar, to Thomas Perset, mair thereof, following on retour of said George Arrot as heir to his father, Dundee, 28 May 1514. Thomas Brody, St. Andrews diocese, N.P.
No 169 Certified Copy from R.M.S. (by Sir Archibald Primrose, Clerk Register) of Great Seal Charter 17 June 1527 in favour of Thomas Arrat, son and heir apparent of George Arrat thereof, and Janet Wood, his wife, of said lands, with salmon-fishing in Southesk, following on resignation by George Arrat.
No 170 1576, February 16. Letters of regress under Privy Seal stating shadow half of Arrot etc had been sold by late Thomas Arrot of that ilk to David Rossy of that ilk and that William Arrot, son of said Thomas Arrot, had agreed for redeption of said lands, which the king agreed to ratify. Seal in fair condition.
No 171 1576, November 8. Sasine following on said contract of redemption of said lands for 900 merks, 22 January 1574/75.
No 172 1577, July 14. Resignation at Edinburgh by David Rossy of that ilk of above lands. Broken seal.
No. 173 1579, November 27. Letters of regress under Privy Seal in favour of William Arrot of the shadow half of Mylntoun of Arrot wadset to Richard Blantyre in Cauldhame by Thomas Arrot of that ilk. Broken seal.
No 174 1588, August 19. Letters of reversion by William Erskine, burgess in Montrose, and Marjorie Douglas, his wife, for themselves, and William and Arthur Erskine, their sons, stating disposition of shadow half of Arrot and Lichtounhill, parish of Brechin, Forfarshire, by William Arrat of that ilk, with consent of Jonet Ogilvie, his wife, though ex facie absolute was redeemable for 1,000 merks, to be paid in Brechin parish church.
No 175 1589, September 16. Charter of Transumpt and Confirmation by John, Earl of Mar, of charter by Robert Erskyne, feuar of Dune, 21 October 1588, following on marriage-contract between John Erskyne of Dune, his father, himself, and John Erskyne of Logye, his son, on one side and Robert, Lord Altrie on the other, for marriage of John Erskyne, son and heir of John Erskyne of Logye to Margaret Keith, daughter of said Robert, Lord Altrie, 24 August 1588, granting the said Margaret Keith liferent of half foresaid lands and of the townships of Pettindreiche and Nunrow. Broken seal of the Earl of Mar.

No 179 1592, October 17. Receipt and transumpt by John Ramsay, fiar of Arkedny, and James Arbuthnot, portioner of Arrat, of charter by John, Earl of Mar (No. 175) and assedation of teinds by Alexander, bishop of Brechin, 26 March 1579.
No 180 1593, June 4. Sasine in favour of Margaret Lewingstoune, wife of said James Arbuthnot in liferent of said lands propriis manibus in implement of marriage-contract of 24 November 1590, she, by acceptance thereof, renouncing any claim to the lands and township of Barns of Balmakellie, parish of Aberluthnot, Kincardine-shire.
No 181 1596, [ ] Contract between James Arbuthnot, portioner of Arrat, and William Arrat of that ilk and Janet Ogilvy, his wife, whereby they wadset to said James Arbuthnot the shadow half of the lands of Lichtounhill for 1000 merks Scots.
