Including:
20 October 1767. Earl of Moira. His grant of 30,000 acres in East Florida and as to Messrs. Charles Barnard and Stanhope Shannon, former who has gone out to locate the land and latter to act as Moira's agent.
20 November 1769. Same. Lack of information from Mr. Barnard. As to Belle Isle on Lake George which Barnard claimed Grant had located to Mr. Lillingston of Messrs. Crowle and Lillingston, who had recommended Barnard to him, but which Moira believes Barnard has himself obtained and as to 5,000 acres for which Barnard had grant through Lord Hillsborough 'tho' he has not one guinea to expend on it'.
4 January 1774. Sir Roderick Mackenzie of Scatwell as to memorandum sent James Stewart Mackenzie as to employment for his brother Lewis who had served apprenticeship with a Writer to the Signet.
1 September 1771 and 18 May 1772. Spencer Mann, St. Augustines with East Florida news. 1 September, as to Chief-Justice having struck Sir Charles Burdett from list of attornies. Instructions of Mr. Oswald to Mr. Fairlamb as to sale of cargo of negroes. Only to sell there if great part could be sold. Thinks taking them to Carolina a mistake 'where they are at present glutted with Negroes'. 18 May 1772. His appointment as Clerk of the Crown by Lieutenant-Governor Moultrie, Collins having resigned and as to supply of bread to the troops.
18 March 1769. William Michie, Charlestown. Introducting Donald McLean who is to be overseer for Mr. Penman. As to his having been in Colonel Montgomery's regiment and having obtained no discharge.
27 February 1769. John Torrans, Charlestown. Colonel Laurens's pamphlet as to Admiralty affairs and against Roupell and Judge and Deputy Collector
30 May, same. Preparation of indigo vats. Detention of Colonel Grant's pipes of wine and the pamphlets of Laurens and Leigh. Whist with Colonel Scott and Grant's winning from Scott of a negro boy thereat.

14 October 1769. George Mills, Inspector-General of Customs, Charlestown. His dismissal of Mr. Hatley, Deputy-Collector there, whom he replaced with George Roupell, who is also to remain Searcher.
31 March 1769. Major Alexander Mackenzie, Charlestown. To sail to St. Augustines to join 31st Regiment.
2 July 1766. Colonel Alexander Mackay. Death of Earl and Countess of Sutherland and the death the previous year of their eldest daughter. As to accusation against Captain Nicholas Sutherland of the 21st Regiment of murder.
2 May 1769. Colonel James Masterton. His appointment as Barrack-Master General for Scotland and general political news.
30 January 1769. Same. John Wilkes and Douglas Cause. Offer to Wedderburn of Sir Matthew Lamb's sinecure of £1,500 per annum as Counsel to Board of Trade.
4 February 1769. Same. The vote on expulsion of Wilkes. As to Barre and Burke as speakers.
30 September 1768. Same. Departure of Colonels Scott, Mackay and Pomeroy for North America and murmourings against the Commander-in-chief there. Sir Jeffery Amherst's resignation. Need for strong actions with North America. Visit of King of Denmark, who is somewhat childish. Prospects of Colonel Edmonstone of an Irish regiment. Belief Shelburne and Barre to be dismissed.
6 March 1766. Same. Speeches of George Grenville and Pitt on 3rd reading of Stamp Act. As to belief Pitt will be brought into Government and extent to which matters will depend on Bute.
3 January 1767. As to dispute between Colonel Wemyss and Colonel Scott for Fife and the complex pattern in which Sutherland, Caithness and Northern Burghs involved in this. Prospects of George Grenville. Break of Lord Lorne from Bedford party and English peerage obtained him by Chatham.
