Archibald Campbell of Monzie, 5th son of Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenorchy (4th surviving son), acquired the quarter lands of Monzie by his marriage to Margaret Toshoch, eldest daughter of Andrew Toshoch and sold them to his brother, Duncan, in 1581. The Campbell family held the estate until Archibald Cameron-Campbell (d.1869) sold the estate to George Johnstone of Lathrisk c. 1854. In 1931 the estate was purchased by the Fellowes family.
