Of:- i). 1472, April 11, Edinburgh. Charter by George, lord Gordoun, to his brother, Alexander Setoun, for fraternal affection, of lands of Wester Gordoun with mill thereof, lands of Huntlie and Fawsyde, sheriffdom of Berwick, in blench farm for payment of a silver penny at Feast of St. John the Baptist if asked. Witnesses: William, lord Grahame, Sir Gilbert Keith of Innerugy, Alexander Setoun of Parbroth, Alexander Spence and Walter Ogilvie. ii). 1472, April 11, Edinburgh. Charter by George, lord Gordoun, to his brother, Alexander Setoun, for fraternal affection, of lands of Easter Gordoun sheriffdom of Berwick, in blench farm for payment of a silver penny at Feast of St. John the Baptist if asked. Witnesses: William, lord Grahame, Sir Gilbert Keith of Innerugy, Alexander Setoun of Parbroth, Walter Ogilvie and Alexander Spens. iii). 1472, April 11, Edinburgh. Charter by George, lord Gordoun, to his brother, Alexander Setoun, for fraternal affection, of lands of Fogo, Melvynstanes, Remyltoun, Fallneis, Helespeth, and Wolfwoddir, sheriffdom of Berwick, in blench farm for payment of a silver penny at Feast of St. John the Baptist if asked. Witnesses: William, lord Grahame, Sir Gilbert Keith of Innerugy, Alexander Setoun of Parbroth, Walter Ogilvie and Alexander Spens. Witnesses: Thomas, bishop of Aberdeen, William, bishop of Orkney, keeper of the privy seal, Andrew, lord Avendale, Chancellor, Colin, earl of Argyle, lord Lorne, master of the household, James, lord Hamilton, William, lord Monypenny, Sir John Colquhoun of that ilk, Mr. David Guthrie of that ilk, clerk of rolls and register, Mr. Archibald Quhytlaw, archdeacon of St. Andrews, Secretary, Mr. John Layng, parson of Newlandis, Treasurer. Copy authenticated by Sir Alexander Hay of Whitburgh, Clerk Register, in terms of decreet of Court of Session of 12 March 1614 in action between John Seatoun of Tullibody and George, Marquis of Huntly.
