Alexander Conning, merchant in Whithorne, to Alexander Hannah, of Grennan, justice of the peace, alleging that he was attacked at Ballackjargan by Richard Johnston, carrier in Newton Stewart, and John Muir, servant in Ballackjargen, who held him prisoner, extracted goods from his saddlebag and took away his staff; he therefore seeks redress, 15 June 1803.
Agnes Hannah, spouse of Alexander Conning, merchant in Whithorne, and her daughters, concerning dispute over an "easing drop" of 9 inches from their property, on top of which Margaret Jorrie, innkeeper, is building a house; with answers, replies and duplies, 2-27 April 1803 (106-113).
