1833 September 5 Letter from Francis Gebbie, Dunlop House, on his wish to persuade Captain Dunlop to 'change his views of keeping up so much of his old house.'
1833 September 8 Letter from Mr Finlay, Fasque, Fettercairn, enquiring about stoves on behalf of his friend William Ewart Gladstone (1809-1898), statesman and author, who had 'a superb mansion, with a very large entrance hall and magnificent stair case', which he wished to heat.
