1357, June 17. Copy Charter by William, Earl of Ross. (See NRAS22/Bundle F for original.)
1587, September 5. Contract between Mr. David Gairdin of that ilk, Elizabeth Stewart, his spouse, and Helen Gairdin, their only daughter, on the one part, and Mr. Thomas Gairdin of Blairtoun, Isobel Stewart, his spouse, Robert, their eldest son, and Thomas, Alexander, George and John, their younger sons, on the other, whereby, for securing the estate of Gairdin to the name of Gairdin said Helen is to marry said Robert, whom failing, one of the other sons of said Thomas, and Helen and her spouse are to be infeft in the barony of Gairdin.
