The firm of Anderson, Fyfe, Littlejohn & Co, solicitors in Glasgow, was preceded by various partnerships in the city, including the following (with approximate dates of formation): Burns & McLean (1838), Burns, Aiken & Co (1878) and Burns & Aiken (1892). Burns & Aiken became Aiken & Co in 1898 and Aiken, Harvie Anderson & Co in 1918. In 1922 the firm amalgamated with Fyfe & Littlejohn, also founded in 1898, to become Anderson, Fyfe, Littlejohn & Co, which subsequently (30 April 1971) amalgamated with Henderson, Stewart & Young to form Anderson, Fyfe, Stewart & Young, later Anderson Fyfe. It continues to practise under that name.
