GD12/72 Notarial instrument testifying that John Swyntone of that ilk appeared in the church of St Giles, Edinburgh, with a letter of reversion made by the deceased John Skouggaill of Bollishauch to the deceased John Swynton of that ilk, Kt, his heirs and assignees regarding the redemption of the lands of Litill Hurcas lying in the lordship of Swyntone and barony of Coldingham; which letter was publicly read and payment of 120 merks Scots in gold and silver offered to Patrick Howme of Fastcastell as assignee of the said John Skouggaill and possessor of the lands, for the redemption of the said lands. The sum was not received by Patrick Howme or any other assignee and it was therefore deposited with William Hoppar, one of the bailies of Edinburgh, for the use of the heirs or assignees of the said John Skouggaill, according to the letter of reversion, and instrument craved thereupon. 30 May 1508 This record is Open.
