Letter of Reversion by William Hamilton of Maknariston and Katharine Kennedy his wife, to Gilbert Earl of Cassillis bearing the Earl having infeft them in the 40 shilling land of Barbiston and merk land of Brackenhill, lying in the barony of Dalrymple, Kyle-regis, yet nevertheless they oblige them after the lapse of 3 years from the date of the said Letter, upon the Earl making payment to them, within the church of Ayr of the sum of 200 merks money of Scotland, that they shall resign in the hands of his Lordship and his successors the said lands of Barbiston and Brackenhill with all right and title which they had thereto and declare the same lawfully redeemed
