GD85/281 DISPOSITION by Andrew Golder, eldest lawful son and heir of deceased Andrew Golder, tailor, burgess of Hamiltoun [Hamilton], with consent of Christian Allan, his mother, John Golder, his brother german, and Robert Peacock, merchant in Hamiltoun, to John Roberton, merchant burgess thereof, of three acres of land, or thereby, lying contiguously in that part of the "Hauch of Hamiltoun" called the "Crofthigh", presently possessed by the said Robert Peacock, and also of an acre of land or thereby in the said Hauch of Hamilton, in the part thereof now called "Paperthill", presently possessed by Thomas Dykes, and further of an acre of land or thereby called "the Cruikit aiker", alias "Wat aiker", lying in the said Hauch of Hamiltoun, presently possessed by the said Robert Peacock, which five acres were acquired by the said Andrew Golder's said deceased father from deceased Quentin Hamilton of Barncluith and Robert Hamilton, one of the clerks of Signet; containing procuratory of resignation and precept of sasine addressed to [blank] as procurators and bailies. Endorsement recording that sasine was given, 4th December 1682, and that thereupon the said John Roberton, conform to marriage contract between him and Mary Ker [Kerr], his spouse, gave sasine to James Semple, merchant, as attorney for the said Mary, of two of the three acres in "Crofthigh" in liferent. 29/11/1682 This record is Open.
