Notarial instrument under the hand of sir John Ettell, commissary of Brechin, narrating that a contract of marriage dated at Brechin 4 August 1541 between said Sir Thomas and his son, on the one part and said Lord Ogiluy and Agnes, his daughter, on the other part was registered in the commissary court books of Brechin and that the said Sir Thomas has discharged the said Lord of 1000 merks Scots payable in terms thereof. 11 August 1541.
