Dornoch Sheriff Court operated within the Sheriffdom of Grampian, Highlands and Islands, which also comprised at the time the courts situated at Aberdeen, Banff, Dingwall (closed 2015), Elgin, Fort William, Inverness, Kirkwall, Lerwick, Lochmaddy, Peterhead, Portree, Stonehaven (closed 2014), Stornoway, Tain and Wick.
